Woman dies in rear-end crash
SAPD: Driver Rachel Loera strikes car from behind, later dies
SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio woman died after her car struck another vehicle from behind on Sunday.
San Antonio police said Rachel Loera, 43, died after her 2003 Oldsmobile Alero struck a 2010 Nissan Altima from behind near the intersection of S.E. Military Drive and Curtis around 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Loera was complaining of pain to her neck, head, and lower back and was transported to Mission Trail Hospital to be treated for her injuries, where she later died.
In connection with the crash, Loera was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license and no liability insurance.
