SAFD: Fire on Misty Way may have been intentionally set by resident
SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio firefighter was hospitalized after battling a blaze on the East Side that may have been intentionally set.
San Antonio fire crews responded to the fire Sunday afternoon in the 5800 block of Misty Lake.
Crews extinguished the fire quickly and prevented it from spreading, but a firefighter was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, said Capt. Gabe Ortega with SAFD.
Fire officials detained the man who lives at the residence and believe he set the fire on purpose.
He was questioned by arson investigators. Damages were estimated at $75,000.
