Rain on the way for Battle of Flowers Parade?

Slight chance of showers Friday for Battle of Flowers Parade

Thousands of Fiesta goers are expected to attend the Battle of Flowers Parade, but will they be accompanied by rain or showers.

KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage says Friday's high will be in the low 80s, but a few sprinkles or showers are expected throughout the day.

The National Weather Service predicts a 10 percent chance of precipitation before 1 p.m. Friday. Friday night's low is expected in the mid 60s.

A few other notes for Friday include:

  • City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed to observe the Fiesta San Jacinto Holiday.
  • Garbage and recyclables will be collected.
  • It's a parking meter holiday but spaces are at a premium because of the Battle of Flowers Parade.
  • San Antonio police, fire and ems will all be on duty.
  • All city libraries will be closed.
  • Several post office locations along the parade route will be closed, but regular mail delivery will not be interrupted.
