A 60-year old woman riding a electric wheelchair was hospitalized after she was struck by a car in north San Antonio late Thursday night.
San Antonio police said the woman was in the middle of the street around 9:30 p.m. at Jackson Keller and West Avenue when she was struck by a car driven by a man in his late 80s.
The woman was taken to University Hospital, but expected to recover. It was not known why she was in the middle of the road.
Police said the elderly driver stopped and was not expected to face charges.
