SAN ANTONIO – The Spurs go from a familiar foe in the Western Conference playoffs to one they haven't met in the postseason in more than 20 years.
The Golden State Warriors survived a near meltdown Thursday night against Denver to advance to the West semis for the first time since 2007.

Games 1 and 2 of the Spurs-Warriors series will be played Monday and Wednesday nights the AT&T Center. Both games tip off at 8:30 p.m.
The series then shifts to Oakland for games 3 and 4. The Spurs and Warriors split the season series 2-2 with both winning their home games.
Tony Parker and Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 25 points in their two regular season wins while Golden State was led by Jarret Jack's 30 points and David Lee's 25 point, 22 rebound game in one of the Warriors' wins.
Steph Curry scored 35 points in the second Warriors win over San Antonio, which came at the end of the regular season when the Spurs sat several key players.
Golden State is led by Curry, who raised his level of play in the first round after the loss of All-Star David Lee. The Spurs swept the Lakers and have not played since Sunday. San Antonio is rested and expected to get Boris Diaw back from injury.
The Spurs and Warriors have not met in the playoffs since 1991 when 7th-seeded Golden State shocked the 2nd-seeded Spurs 3-1 in the first round.
