WHY ARE YOU RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL? (DISTRICT 11, AT-LARGE "MAYOR") To implement AGENDA FOR BUILDING SAN ANTONIO INTO AN ECONOMIC POWERHOUSE; highly improved crime elimination; quality of life; tax cuts. Will also seek to provide property tax deductions for food garden cultivation.

HAVE YOU RUN FOR CITY COUNCIL BEFORE? DISTRICT 11, AT-LARGE "MAYOR"

WHAT PREVIOUS LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE? Senior Federal Officer United States Government, two decades; decorated U.S. Navy commander veteran of foreign wars; deputized Federal Courts, 1989; resided around the world (including Europe, Asia, Africa; "most beautiful city" Paris; "most populous super-city" Tokyo [35 million residents]).

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH IF ELECTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL? AGENDA FOR BUILDING SAN ANTONIO INTO AN ECONOMIC POWERHOUSE; highly improved crime elimination; quality of life; tax cuts for San Antonians; best of what have seen/experienced in cities around the world. Will also seek to recognize national heros who have resided/visited San Antonio: Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Mamie Eisenhower, Douglas MacArthur, Charles Lindbergh, Edward H. White, Lyndon B. Johnson, Lady Bird Johnson; too many local yokels don't realize there's a real world beyond the loop. michaelformayor.info

WHAT ARE THE MOST DIFFICULT CHALLENGES FACING THE CITY OF SAN ANTONIO? Stagnation; small-town corrupt local government scares away major corporations from coming to San Antonio; if fail to develop.. get left behind.. just as "ghost towns" throughout history of the world.

WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST OBSTACLES FACING ECONOMIC GROWTH IN SAN ANTONIO? The current mayor and city council. You can take the boy out of the westside, but you can't take the westside out of the boy.

WHAT CAN THE CITY COUNCIL DO TO HELP SPUR ECONOMIC GROWTH? The current city council must do the right thing and RESIGN IMMEDIATELY.

ARE THERE ANY DECISIONS THE CURRENT CITY COUNCIL HAS MADE THAT YOU STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH? PLEASE LIMIT ANSWER TO 3 ITEMS. Every time city council makes an ordinance, it's a joke! Every time city councilors make a joke, it becomes an ordinance! Corruption. Under the table payoffs. ADDITIONALLY: Castro is prohibited from 3rd term by Voters in November 2008 election language: "prohibit former members of the City Council, whether appointed or elected, from being elected to more than two 2-year terms" .. (Castro was a former member in November 2008; number of persons have complained to Federal authorities).

WHAT ITEMS/PROGRAMS WOULD YOU CUT FROM THE CURRENT CITY BUDGET? Castro & company have run up a 248.41 MILLION deficit to add to a total of $9 BILLION DEBT for the City of San Antonio! Stockton, California has just gone into Federal bankruptcy for $1 BILLION DEBT. Unnecessary programs must be cut. Will
implement tax cuts. Will also increase revenues with smarter/more effective use of convention center (will also urge lifting of ban on Gun Shows at Convention Center for increased revenues, sport, and self-defense of law-abiding citizens).

DID YOU VOTE IN FAVOR OF OR AGAINST THE NEW PRE-K 4 S.A. PROGRAM? WHY? Against. When government gets involved in "the business of BUSINESS".. that's facism (and very close to socialism/communism; of which communism is prohibited in writing by State and Federal laws). Municipal administration need stay out of the business of kindergartens and leave it to educational professionals; there's not enough room at the firehouses for kinder kids! Who came up with this wasteful boondoggle for their own self-promotion?

WHAT MORE SHOULD THE CITY DO TO LOWER GANG ACTIVITY AND CRIME IN SAN ANTONIO? Elect Michael Idrogo to the office of Mayor.. and gang activity and crime will disappear! (High technology, etc.)

ARE THERE MAJOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE CITY UNDERTAKE? San Antonio should take advantage of Federal funding to build the San Antonio barge Waterway Canal; proposed since 1938; biggest economic boom San Antonio will experience in its history if implemented (michaelformayor.info) to coincide with the widening of the Panama Canal. Tolls and other benefits will pay back the canal many times over; the Suez Canal collects million-dollar-tolls on ships transiting the Suez. Will beautify San Antonio much as many other major cities have.
