Man caught after crashing stolen truck into San Antonio cruiser

Police search for suspect by air, K-9 on ground

SAN ANTONIO – A man was arrested after he struck a San Antonio police car early Tuesday morning with a stolen truck.

The incident started just before 1 a.m. on Marbach Road near Pue Road. Officers pulled over the truck after spotting it on Marbach.

That's where police say the driver began arguing with officers, then put the truck into gear and rammed the cruiser.

He fled and crashed the stolen truck, but then tried to getaway on foot.

Officers caught him thanks to the help of a Blue Eagle helicopter and K-9 units on the ground.

Police have not released the suspect's name or announced what charges he will face.
