Tim Duncan headed for divorce court

Divorce petition filed in April

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs confirmed Friday that star forward Tim Duncan and his wife, Amy, have filed for divorce, citing discord and conflict in the couple's 12-year marriage.
A divorce petition filed in April at the Bexar County Courthouse listed no names, but the initials "A.D." versus "T.T.D." and the date of the marriage led to speculation that it was the Duncans.
The information, coupled with the fact that the petition asked that discovery action be delayed until after the NBA Playoffs, seemed to lead to the Spurs' franchise player.
The pending divorce has some Spurs fans, like Santos Hernandez, worried.
"He might not have his mind on the game, and that right there means a lot for everybody in San Antonio," he said.
Luis Gamboa, a Spurs fan, said he hopes the situation won't distract Duncan.
"We got one goal. and that's to win our championship, and he needs to put his personal life aside," he said.
On Thursday, Duncan was named to the First Team All-NBA Team.
Duncan and his teammates are in Memphis for Games 3 and 4 of the Western Conference Finals on Saturday and Monday.
