5 students arrested in Champion High School mischief

Over $1K in damages to Champion HS

BOERNE, Texas – Five Champion High School students in Boerne have been served with arrest warrants for criminal mischief and criminal trespassing, according to a statement issued by the city on Tuesday.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, five teenagers entered the high school through an unlocked door on the school's second story, then caused an estimated $1,300 in damages.

Of those criminal damages were painted windows, glued locks and doors, and places where eggs had been thrown at the school.

The students' identities were obtained through the use of video, anonymous tips and further investigations.

According to the statement, the five students who were issued arrest warrants have been identified as Nicholas Danney, 17; Jacob Sarver, 18; Kolten Paxson, 18; Hunter Wehrheim, 18; and Drew Defendorf, 18.

Danney is currently in the Bexar County Jail, Wehrheim is currently in Kendall County Jail and, as of Tuesday afternoon, the other three were still in the process of being served.
