Man shot in front of store MLK Boulevard; Suspects at-large

SAN ANTONIO – A shooting at an East Side convenience store sent a man to the hospital late Tuesday night.

Shots were fired around 9 p.m. at the store in the 3100 block of MLK Boulevard.

Police said a black car, possibly a Chevy Malibu, pulled up to the store front and someone inside opened fire on two men who were standing outside the store.

One of the men was hit in the hand and the rib area. The other managed to escape unharmed.

The suspects immediately fled and police said they could be dangerous, and possibly armed with an assault rifle.

The injured man was taken to the hospital and expected to recover, San Antonio police said. The suspects remained at-large late Tuesday night.
