Is it possible for a group of men to be as catty as a group of women? That's what I was left wondering after watching episode two of "The Bachelorette."

I thought the surprise of the night came during the first one on one date of the season.

Brooks, the Marketing Consultant from Salt Lake City, Utah, came out of no where and blew me (and Desiree) away.

During their date, the pair was playful as they tried on suits and wedding dresses.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any sweeter, Des and Brooks enjoyed drinks on the Hollywood sign. What a set up for romance!  Who wouldn't fall in love under a Malibu sunset overlooking Los Angeles.

And the first kiss of the season goes to… Brooks!

The night ended with a romantic dinner on a bridge with a private concert from Andy Grammer. No surprise, Brooks got the rose. The other men better watch out.

The first group date of the season was full of awkward moments.  I couldn't decide if I wanted to laugh or cringe as the 14 men recorded a music video with Soulja Boy.

During the group date, each guy did their best to catch Desiree's eye.

Brownie points go to Zak W. for getting Des an antique journal.  He seems genuine.   We'll see if it will last.

Ben stole Des for some alone time, and as you can imagine, the other men were less than pleased.  I have to admit, I was a fan of Ben's from the start of the first episode, but now I have my doubts about his sincerity.  His cheesy one liners are getting a little old.

The group date wasn't without tears as Brandon shared his a story of difficult childhood.

At the end of the night, Ben walked away with the rose.

I am so glad the second one on one date went to Bryden.  I have been a fan from the beginning.  His connection with Desiree was confirmed during this episode.

The claws were out during the cocktail party, Ben swoops in again to steal Des away, and the other men were not having it.  I'm just glad fists didn't start flying.

Brian won the cuteness award for literally sweeping Des off her feet during their alone time.

At the end of the night, three men were sent home.

This "Bachelorette" junkie almost fell out of her seat as I watched the preview for next week's episode. A girlfriend, ambulances and lots of tears can only mean one thing, lots of drama.

The search for love continues Monday at 7 p.m. on KSAT 12.
