Man wanted in seafood restaurant robbery

Manager of Sea Island at Loop 1604, Bandera forced inside walk-in freezer

SAN ANTONIO – The manager of a restaurant was robbed at gunpoint and forced into a freezer on the Northwest Side, San Antonio police said.

Investigators say the masked man who robbed her business is still at large.

The manager told police she saw a man hiding in the bushes outside the Sea Island Shrimp House at Loop 1604 and Bandera around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

He pulled out a gun and told her to walk inside and empty the safe.

She gave him the money and he put her in the restaurant's walk-in freezer.

The manager was eventually able to get out and call police.

But the man who robbed the store fled and, as of Wednesday afternoon, has not been captured.
