SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a man's death after he was found lying in a creek with a gunshot wound in the Northwest Side.
The creek is located in the 5500 block of Evers Road, off Northwest Loop 410 and near Joiner. He was found around 7:30 p.m.
Police are investigating his death as a possible suicide, but they did not initially find a gun at the scene.
Police said a few homeless people nearby had spoken to the man about 15 minutes before they heard one gunshot. SAPD Crime Scene Unit is still investigating.
