Nitric acid leak forces evacuations
SAN ANTONIO – A seat belt manufacturing facility was evacuated Wednesday morning due to an acid leak.
Workers at Takata Seat Belts, in the 4600 block of Wiseman Boulevard, were evacuated after 10 a.m.
Plant officials said nitric acid is leaking from a 350-gallon container.
