SAN ANTONIO – Shots were fired outside a south San Antonio mobile home when two men confronted each other late Wednesday night.
San Antonio police said the shooting in the 1500 block of Mission Road involved the current boyfriend of a woman and her ex-boyfriend.
Police believe the woman told her current boyfriend, the victim, not to come over because she was worried something would happen.
The mobile home park manager said the ex-boyfriend had come to the house the night before and vandalized the victim's vehicle.
Police said the victim went to the home anyway armed with a shotgun.
Police said the ex-boyfriend and another man pulled up to the home around 9:30 p.m. in a white SUV and shots were fired from the vehicle. Police said the current boyfriend then returned fire.
The victim was hit at least three times in the legs and police believe some of the gunshot wounds may have come from shotgun shell pellets ricocheting off the shooter's vehicle. Police did not release his condition late Wednesday night.
Police do not believe the shooter or the man he was with were hit. Police have not announced an arrest in connection with the shooting.
Witnesses initially said the victim was standing outside the home with his girlfriend and her children. There were no reports of any other injuries.
