San Antonio police officer accused of holding woman at gunpoint
SAPD: Officer taken into custody, woman not injured
SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio police officer was taken into custody late Thursday night. He is accused of holding a woman at gunpoint at his home during a domestic disturbance, police said.
Police were called to the officer's home in the 100 block of Whitecliff near Southwest Loop 410 and Valley Hi around 11:30 p.m.
Witnesses said they saw the officer hold a gun to the woman's head.
Police surrounded the house and blocked off several streets, and about 20 minutes later, the officer came out of the house and was taken into custody without incident.
Police said no major injuries were reported. The case remains under investigation and police have not released the officer's name.
Police investigators did not specify the relationship between the officer and woman.
