SAN ANTONIO – A wrong-way driver slammed head-on into a woman early Sunday morning causing severe injuries, police say.

That crash happened just before 6 a.m. near the I-35 and 281 intersection.

Investigators say the man drove his pick-up south in the northbound lanes on 35.

They say he crashed into an oncoming car, severely injuring the woman inside.

Her car then spun around and collided head-on with another car.

The driver of that car was hurt and taken to Metropolitan Methodist.

The badly injured woman went to SAMCC for treatment.
