Fake Bible salesmen carjack woman at Valero in northwest San Antonio

Woman carjacked while pumping gas at Valero near Loop 410 and Evers Road

SAN ANTONIO – Three men pretending to be Bible salesmen are accused of carjacking a woman's car while she pumped gas at a Valero station, according to San Antonio police.

Officers responded to the Valero near Loop 410 and Evers Road shortly before 6 a.m. Monday and spoke with the victim.

They said the woman told them she was pumping gas when three men walked up and offered to sell her a Bible.

The woman told police that after she declined, one of the men lifted up his shirt and showed her a gun tucked into his waistband.

The men then ordered the woman to hand over her purse and car keys, police said.

The suspects drove off in the woman's 2013 grey Ford Focus with a Texas license plate, BHV 4732, police said.

Investigators said they plan to review surveillance video from the store for additional clues.
