ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas – Atascosa County sheriff's deputies have arrested a suspect in the stabbing death of Louis Reyes.
The Atascosa County jail says 24 year-old Jonathan Escobedo is charged with murder.
Investigators said Reyes was stabbed multiple times in the chest inside the mobile home he was renting in the 200 block of Oak Krest Boulevard north of Poteet.
Around 10 a.m. Saturday, deputies were dispatched to the mobile home after a neighbor discovered Reyes' body.
One witness says they saw Escobedo walking down the street about a mile from where Reyes was stabbed and told police.
Several hours later, another witness came forward and said they had spoken with Escobedo about the murder.
Reyes and Escobedo reportedly knew each other and worked together.
Escobedo is currently in the Atascosa County jail on a $1 million bond.
