Woman hurt, man arrested in downtown hit-and-run

Police say suspect facing multiple charges

SAN ANTONIO – A hit-and-run driver ran a woman down downtown and then took off, but police later arrested him and say he'll face multiple charges.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Alamo and 4th St.

According to police, a woman rode her bike on Alamo when a man in a truck hit her at the four-way stop at 4th.

The driver then took off.

Police caught up with him at Haywood Ave. and Brahan Blvd.

They say he faces hit-and-run and DWI charges.

The woman was taken to Nix Hospital and is expected to be okay.
