Mosley said two maintenance personnel doing work on a vacant house next door heard the man and a woman arguing outside of the home.

He said the man then grabbed a gun and fired several shots, missing the workers.

The man and the woman went back in their home and locked themselves inside.

Investigating officers eventually talked them out peacefully and the man was arrested without incident.

Mosley said there were a total of four women in the home, along with several children.

No one was injured in connection with the incident, including the maintenance workers who were fired upon.

Neighbor Michelle Mitchell said the family is usually peaceful and friendly.

Another neighbor, Ossie Brown, said they appear to be a close-knit family who always have get-togethers at the home.

As of noon, it was unclear exactly what charges the man was facing. His identity has not been released.
