Driver arrested after 40 minute chase in northwest San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio and Castle Hills police were sent on a wild chase Wednesday morning that ended with the suspected driver in custody.
The pursuit started around 1:30 a.m. after police received a call for a suspicious vehicle at the Arbor Grove Apartments on Jackson Keller Road.
Officers approached the car and the driver, a man in his 30s, drove off.
The suspect drove down Loop 410 to Ingram, then to Grissom, and Culebra Road.
Police said the driver then went back to Loop 410 near Valley Hi and turned around at Medina Base Road.
The driver headed all the way back to Ingram and was finally boxed-in by police on Grissom.
San Antonio police blocked intersections along the way and used a K-9 and Blue Eagle helicopter to assist with the chase.
The driver was arrested and faces several charges, police said. His name or the reason he fled have not been released.
