SAN ANTONIO – Five women are accused of taking part in a retail theft ring, stealing thousands of dollars' worth of items from local stores and reselling it all on the internet.

Two separate arrest warrant affidavits name the five suspects: Emily Garcia, 26; Cassandra Arenas, 23; Eva Salazar, 48; Christian Salazar, 28; and Piedad Perez, 32.

According to the affidavits, four of the women targeted two stores, Victoria's Secret and Abercrombie & Fitch.

San Antonio police detectives said they observed the suspects stealing what added up to thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise including women's underwear and perfume, from the stores, the affidavit stated. Detectives said they would then deliver the items to Perez's home.

They said Perez had an account on eBay where she would sell similar items, the affidavit stated.

As of 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Bexar County Jail had record of only three suspects' arrests—Garcia, Arenas and Christian Salazar.

It appeared Eva Salazar and Perez had not been arrested yet. All five suspects face a charge of organized retail theft.
