SAN ANTONIO – As the summer winds down, it appears the tourist season was good to San Antonio.
Although official numbers are not out yet, indications are that places like Sea World San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas fared well, along with businesses along the River Walk.

"Any increase is a good increase," said Executive Director of the Paseo Del Rio Association Nancy Hunt.
Hunt said restaurants and businesses along the River Walk stayed busy over the past few months.
"Generally speaking, business was up a little bit overall this summer," said Hunt.
Helping boost business was a July Lutheran youth convention. About 20,000 church youth converged on San Antonio and spent money.
Usual attractions, like the Alamo, pulled their weight, too. When it comes to a peak day, it appeared Independence Day was the winner.
"Fourth of July is crazy," said Hunt. "It's hard to walk on the River Walk, which is a good problem to have."
As a result, hotels across the city benefitted as well.
Overall, local experts believed tourism seemed to be rebounding from the economic down turn.
According to the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau, official economic numbers are due in next week.
