Man arrested for second DWI on lawnmower
Police say La. man was driving lawnmower down road with no lights
A 60-year-old Louisiana man was arrested on drunken driving charges after police nearly crashed into him.
Police said they found Edward Duke driving down a road in Houma on a riding lawnmower without headlights shortly after midnight Tuesday, Baton Rouge TV station WVLA reported.
He was arrested on charges of DWI and operating an unsafe vehicle after performing poorly on field sobriety tests.
While processing his arrest, officers found an outstanding warrant for Duke from a DWI charge six years ago in New Mexico.
He remained in the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
