Victim's name and age not yet released
SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County Sheriff's officials said a man is dead after crashing his motorcycle on the county's Northeast side Saturday night.
Sheriff's officials said the man was traveling north on 1604, headed toward I-10, when he went off the road.
A man apparently driving by around 7:00 p.m. noticed the motorcycle in the grass and pulled over to check it out. That's when he found the man unresponsive on the ground next to it.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
"For unknown reasons , we don't know why, he traveled off the roadway, resulting in a crash which resulted in his death," said Sergeant Mario Cervantes, with the Bexar County Sheriff's Department Traffic Unit. "All we can tell you right now, it is a single occupant, a male."
Sheriff's officials also said they had a DPS helicopter up to check the area and to make sure no one else was involved in the accident.
The man's name and age have not yet been released.
