Man flees on foot after traffic stop in northeast San Antonio

SAPD: Suspect had warrant, may have been in possession of narcotics

SAN ANTONIO – A routine traffic stop Monday night lead to a massive search in a Northeast Side neighborhood.

San Antonio police say they were conducting a routine traffic stop on a white Chevy pickup truck near the 13000 block of Scarsdale when the driver fled on foot.

A K-9 unit and a police chopper were called in to assist officers but they were not able to find the suspect.

An officer on the scene said the suspect had a warrant out for his arrest and may have been in possession of narcotics.
