Smoke coming from a burning pile of mattresses could be seen billowing into the sky for miles.

San Antonio firefighters arrived and immediately concentrated on containing the fire so it would not spread to the business next door, Sun Court Resources, which stores gas diesel and kerosene tanks.

Employees on the property were evacuated while firefighters extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
