Winston School to host art show and sale

600 pieces to be featured

SAN ANTONIO – The Winston School of San Antonio is hosting the Collectors Gallery Fine Art Show and Sale this weekend.

"It's an opportunity for people to come and look at art and learn about art. If they're interested in purchasing it for their home there are a variety of costs for the arts, some from $100 to $200, some range from $25,000 to $50,000, " said Headmaster Dr. Charles J. Karulak.

Walter Edleman, an art dealer and appraiser from New York City, will be at the sale this weekend.

Some 600 of his pieces from the 19th to 21st centuries will be featured at the sale.

A portion of the proceeds benefit the nonprofit Winston School.

The school works with children who have learning differences and helps prepare them for college.

The show runs Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The school is located at 8565 Ewing Halsell in the Medical Center.
