Police search for suspect in wife's stabbing

Investigators say man took off after the attack

A woman is in the hospital after her husband stabbed her and then took off.

SAN ANTONIO – A man was on the run from police after he allegedly stabbed his wife and then took off.

The attack happened just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Pierian Ave.

According to police, the woman had just returned home from a relative's, when her husband woke up and started to argue with her.

They say the suspect then grabbed a kitchen knife, stabbed her in the thigh and then took off.

The woman went to Southwest General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
