Police seek identity of man wanted for stealing from truck in parking lot

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted for a burglary that happened in August.

Police were dispatched to a burglary of a vehicle call on Aug. 8. Upon arrival, officers met with 47-year-old William Esposito, who told police his 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck had been broken into.

Esposito showed police his truck, which was parked in the surface parking lot at 201 Broadway between 2105 and 2315. He said his truck had been left locked in the lot.

Police said damage consistent with a screw driver being slid under the door handle to deactivate the lock was discovered under the driver's door handle.

Esposito said the only thing that he knew was taken from his pickup truck was an Apple iPad that was inside the center console, according to police.
