New Braunfels man stabbed in CVS parking lot

Suspect arrested by New Braunfels police

A man was hospitalized and another arrested in connection with a stabbing at CVS parking lot in New Braunfels Thursday night.

Police and paramedics responded to the stabbing around 10:13 p.m. and found the victim with a stab wound to his chest, according to a NBPD press release.

The suspect fled in a pickup truck, but officers were able to locate him a short time later.

He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His name has not been released.

The 41-year-old victim was transported to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital by Paramedics and was then airlifted to San Antonio Military Medical Center in serious condition. The release did not state what led to the stabbing.
