"It's a very hard sad day for me because he's not here with us," said Monica Guevara, Rodriguez's mother.

According to police, Rodriguez was shot in the 9800 block of Alexa. A friend of his was also injured. Police say the shooting stemmed from a argument with a 21-year-old.

"My son got shot four times in front of me and his friend got shot twice," Guevara said. The 21-year-old suspect was questioned but released. Rodriguez's family says he was let go because he claimed self defense.

Guevera says life without her son hasn't been the same and never will be. She tells us she stays strong for family but wants justice.
