Police release photo of Compass Bank robbery suspect


San Antonio police are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery on the Southeast side of town.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect from the robbery on Oct. 11.

They said the man, pictured wearing a black and white ball cap, robbed the Compass Bank at 1014 Goliad Road.

According to police reports, the bank teller told police the suspect handed her a handwritten note reading something about $3,000, while he threatened, "Don't do anything stupid, just hand me the money."

Crime Stoppers is awarding $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the crime.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP.
