Couple crashes truck near South Side train tracks

Police believe alcohol was involved

Alcohol may be to blame for an overnight accident on the city's South Side.

It happened around 3 a.m. Sunday near South Presa and Southcross.

According to police, a couple was speeding West bound on Southcross, misjudged the road and hit a railroad crossing guard, causing the truck to rollover onto the tracks.

Both people were treated at the scene by EMS.

Police believe alcohol may have contributed to the accident.
