2 children missing from stolen car in San Antonio found safe

SAPD searching for man who stole car on Henderson Pass

Two children who were reported missing in a stolen car incident Monday morning have been found safe.

San Antonio police said the father of the children confirmed to police that two children found at the Ashly Oaks apartment complex, in the 16400 block of Henderson Pass, were indeed his.

KSAT 12 News learned that the parents of the children were dropping off another child at a day care center and left the car running with their two other children -- a 2-year-old boy and an 8-month-old boy -- inside the vehicle. Seconds later, a man took off in the vehicle.

Police are still looking for the man. Police described him as being a young white or Hispanic male with dark hair and wearing a grey hoodie. He may have a gold tooth.

Police said they may also be looking for a blond woman wearing black tights and grey hoodie with the word "Jordan" on the front.
