A local band has made progress after their trailer was stolen, but they are still missing $50,000 worth of gear.
Kevin Geil, lead singer of Two Tons of Steel, emailed KSAT Monday night to say their stolen trailer was found, but it was empty. He said that it was found on in front of a home on the South Side.

The band's parked trailer and equipment were stolen from the 700 block of East Woodlawn.
Geil said he about came unglued when he realized the band's trailer was missing. The band had just returned home from a series of shows on the road.
The trailer was still packed up and it was filled with a ton of gear.
"All of our PA systems, drums, in-ear monitors, merchandise, all estimated at about $50,000," Geil said. "It was locked up. It wasn't easy, you'd have to get in here and turn around and back up and hook it up. It was heavy."
The band has 18 shows scheduled this month with the first one set for Wednesday, but Geil is most concerned about a benefit for a sick girl they're committed to this weekend.
"We were going to bring out the PA and raise money for it and now that's the biggest thing we're struggling with now is to find a PA to be able to do that show," Geil said. "It's a heartache. We try to help people, and it's just a bad day."
The band is getting offers from other local bands to help them out by offering up gear they can use to do their shows. Despite the setback, Geil said the band will keep playing on.
"They knocked us down, they didn't knocked us out," Geil said. "You can't stop us. We're a real band we'll just pick up our pieces and move on."
San Antonio police are investigating the theft and are looking into how the trailer ended up on the South Side.
