The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for the Texas Hill Country Tuesday morning as a cold front continues to make its way towards the San Antonio area.
KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage says temperatures behind the front are dropping steadily on blustery winds.
Mike says we will hit our highest temperature of 63 around noon Tuesday and then it will get colder. Temperatures in San Antonio are expected to drop into the mid-30s late Tuesday night.
The Freeze Warning for the Hill Country will be in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday. The National Weather Service says freezing temperatures are expected across much of the Hill Country and adjacent low lying areas along the I-35 corridor from Williamson to Hays County.
Those freezing temperatures are expected to make their way into parts of South Central Texas Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
A freeze warning will likely be issued for some areas not included in the current freeze warning, according to the NWS.
