Chad McNair started Aspen Beverage Group 20 years ago in his kitchen.
Today, he has more than 20 employees and provides special coffee blends used all over the world -- all from his Northwest Side warehouse.
McNair is a civil engineer by trade, but it was his side interest in coffee that inspired him to start a brand new business.
"I had a photographer's studio before," said McNair. "I've done private consulting work. I had this little coffee business. So I tried a lot of things that didn't work real well."
At first, he had to sell his wife, Shelly, on the idea.
They used $1,000 of their own money, but McNair promised to quit in six months if it didn't work out.
Luckily it did.
He credits his faith, family and friends for helping him drink up success.
