Officer involved in crash while rushing to emergency call
Police say driver failed to yield to officer
An SAPD officer hurrying to an emergency call collided with another driver on the northwest side.
The collision happened around 3:20 a.m. Sunday on the access road near UTSA Blvd. and I-10.
Police say that officer responded to a call for an off-duty county deputy in trouble at an apartment complex.
They say while en route the other driver failed to yield to the officer.
The driver of the truck lost control after colliding with the patrol car, went down an embankment and stopped in front of a Valero gas station.
No word on any injuries or charges.
