Passenger ejected after west San Antonio crash

Driver facing DWI charge, possible intox. assault

A crash on the West Side sent a man to the hospital and another to jail early Sunday morning.

San Antonio police say the driver of a van jumped a curb and hit a telephone pole around midnight at the intersection of South Zarzamora and South Laredo.

The passenger was ejected from the van and suffered serious injuries. The passenger was taken to University Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The driver of the van is facing a DWI charge and possible intoxication assault charges, police said.
