Weather blamed in crashes

SAN ANTONIO – The weather is being blamed for a crash involving several cars and a concrete mixing truck in Live Oak.

The driver of the truck lost control in the rain around 5 a.m. on Friday on Loop 1604 at Lookout Road.

The truck ended up in the grassy median -- stuck in the mud -- and four King Kong wreckers were called to pull it out.

The wreck caused a big traffic backup.

It took crews at least two hours to clear it.
Car hits guard rail

Another crash Friday morning was blamed on the weather

That one happened just after 6 a.m. on Interstate 37 at Goliad.

Investigators said that car hit a guard rail, spun around and came to a rest facing traffic.

No other cars were involved and there was no indication that anyone was seriously hurt.
