San Antonio pregnant mother of eight dies in rollover crash
Family trying to raise money to pay for Linda Olivarez's burial
SAN ANTONIO – A 30-year-old woman, identified as Linda Olivarez, died in a Saturday morning rollover.
Police said it happened on Loop 410 near Roosevelt. The vehicle ended up on the access road.
EMS transported Olivarez to San Antonio Military Medical Center, but she later died at the hospital.
Olivarez's was pregnant at the time. The baby also died. Olivarez leaves behind a husband and 8 children.
"Just all of them crying at the same time and now being able to hold all of them. It's just hard because I don't know what to tell them," said Suzanne Uriegas, Olivarez's sister.
The Olivarez's family did not have insurance at the time of the crash. Her husband's insurance did not kick in until Jan. 1. Her family is now working to help raise money to pay for her funeral.
"Not only is he left with eight kids but he doesn't have a vehicle as well, you know, and we want to be there for him and let him know that we love him," said Uriegas.
The family will sell BBQ plates next Saturday in hopes of raising enough money.
