San Antonio police seek vehicle wanted in connection with hit-and-run

The San Antonio Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a vehicle wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident.

The incident happened at 12:25 p.m. Feb. 1 at N FM 1604 and U.S. Route 281 N.

Police said 64-year-old Guillermo Nieto was struck by another vehicle while riding his motorcycle.

The other vehicle did not stop and help Nieto, who was injured as a result of the crash, according to San Antonio police. The other vehicle fled the scene.

Police described the vehicle as a silver Nissan SUV that is possibly an Xterra. The SUV has disabled veterans license plates which contain the letters "DV," and may have damage to the front passenger fender area, police said.

Anyone with information about this vehicle, the driver or who may have witnessed the initial accident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP. Police said Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 that leads to the arrest of whoever is responsible for the crash.
