The San Antonio Police Department is mourning the loss of a veteran police officer.
According to an SAPD Facebook post, Officer Donald Watson, 47, passed away Monday from medical complications following cancer surgery.
Watson had been on the force for 21 years and was most recently assigned to South Patrol.
The department issued condolences to Watson's family and fellow officers. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
