4 robbers sought in separate thefts
Dollar General, Haifa Food Mart targeted in robberies
San Antonio police are on the lookout for multiple robbers after separate thefts late Tuesday night.
Police said the robberies occurred within minutes of each other, but appear to be unrelated.
The first robbery was reported just before 10 p.m. at a Dollar General in the 10000 block of Shaenfield Road near Loop 1604.
SAPD officers said a man wearing a mask walked into the store with a gun and fled with an unknown amount of cash.
No injuries were reported. Police said another robbery occurred minutes later in the 7100 block of Wurzbach Road at the Haifa Food Mart.
SAPD investigators said a man stood watch while two others wearing masks rushed into the store and held up the clerks at gunpoint.
An employee was forced to the back to open the safe, but was unable to and then was punched in the face, police said.
The two robbers inside the store emptied the cash register and all three men fled the scene, police said. No injuries were reported in this robbery as well.
