FBI seeks information on suspected child predator
"John Doe 28" accused of engaging in sexually explicit activities with child
The FBI is seeking information on a suspected child predator.
The investigation is centered around a video that depicts the man, known only as John Doe 28, engaging in sexually explicit activities with a child.
The video in which John Doe 28 appears first came to the attention of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in November 2012.
John Doe 28 is described as white, possibly in his 30s or 40s, with a receding hairline and wearing wire-framed glasses.
Additional images relevant to the investigation include those depicting the subject and the child victim inside a residence with what appears to be a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on a wall in the background. John Doe 28 is seen wearing a burgundy T-shirt with what appears to be a shark logo on the left side.
According to a press release from the FBI, John Doe 28 could be anywhere in the United States. The effort to find him falls under the FBI's Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program initiatives.
No charges have been filed in this case.
Anyone who has information on John Doe 28 is urged to submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov, or via the FBI's toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
