Two vehicles crashed into utility poles early Saturday morning and one of those crashes caused a power outage in a Northwest Side neighborhood.

The first crash happened around 1:40 a.m. near Summit Parkway and Cambray Drive.

According to police, the driver went around the corner too fast, jumped the curb and crashed into the utility pole.

Around 10 a.m. CPS Energy restored power in that neighborhood.

The second crash happened around 2:20 a.m.

Police say a man was exiting Loop 410 onto Marbach Road when one of his vehicle's tires blew out, causing him to lose control and crash into a utility pole.

The man and his passenger were not injured, but he was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
