The San Antonio Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged three vacant apartments on the West Side.

The San Antonio Fire Department is investigating a fire that damaged three vacant apartments on the West Side.

Firefighters responded to the fire around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at a building in the 4500 block of Eldridge Avenue.

Fire officials said three apartments were filled with flames upon their arrival, but crews extinguished the fire quickly and kept it from spreading to nearby buildings.

SAFD officials believe the fire was set in several different places of the building. The arson unit was called to investigate a cause.  

No injuries were reported and damage estimates were unknown.
