A heated argument between a son and a father turned violent on the South Side early Monday morning, San Antonio police said.
SAPD officers and paramedics responded to the reported stabbing around 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Division Avenue.
Police said the father and son were arguing for an unknown reason when the son stabbed the father multiple times.
The son fled the scene and the father was transported to University Hospital. Police did not immediately update the father's condition.
The son remained at large as of 7 a.m. Police are investigating what caused the argument.
